First of all, I was not paid to do this review; I'm only a proud owner of a Porta-jib Explorer.
I purchased the Explorer a few months ago, and the first thing I noticed when I received it was the quality of its craftsmanship. I knew it would be well-made, but the quality of this product surpasses everything I have ever owned.
Let's talk versatility. This thing can go from a jib to a trolley to a low shot trolley in a few minutes. From bag to jib takes no more than 5-6 minutes...that's fast!
I never leave home without it. If it took 25 minutes to assemble, I probably would leave it at home when I'm not sure it will be used. But the fact it takes only a few minutes to assemble makes it the piece of equipement I use the most (except my camera of course).
The Explorer is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Well-made, built to last, silky smooth, versatile...what more could you ask for?
